For future reference:
Took my bike in for a wash after many months just wiping it off because of the water restrictions where they used a power hose ( ok I know as a rule never to use a power hose but let it fly as I wanted all the dust off ).
Got home with a nice clean bike, switched it off and noticed the main light stayed on :-\
Tried switching on and off again but the light still stayed on.
Thinking water must have gotten in somewhere I disconnected the battery to not let it run down and left the bike standing over the weekend. Connected battery and all was well again. :ricky:
