XSR 700 tribute to the XT500

Take a close look at this bike, and tell me what does it have to present itself as a "tribute" to the XT500??

Nothing on it even reminds me of anything on an XT500.

And the Niken........... :eek7: :eek7: Skerpioen, kreef, wat ook al......baie pootjies en n dun agterlyf. :imaposer:

My alter ego likes to call them GayLR  O0 - but I agree - we need a new KLR, if just to put things into perspective. EICMA 2018 gave us a redesigned clone of the 2008 BMW F800GS tonight in the guise of the Yamaha T7.
I am sure Kawasaki can do better than that without milking the hype treadmill for 2 years running and come up with something that is actually useful.

Dose anyone know the T7’s hp and weight?

Power to weight ratio is important and I can’t seem to find it
