DCT power lifting and climbing over logs
« on: November 12, 2018, 11:49:16 am »
Hi. So I would like to know if it is possible to jump small ruts/holes while at speed (50km/h) and climbing over logs with the DCT model?

If you drive a standard dirt bike/adventure bike with clutch there are moments where you need to drop the clutch to get the wheel up over obstacles like holes/ruts. I want to know if this is possible with the DCT version?

I asked that question to one of the Quest contestants

He said yes, you need to compress the forks with your body weight and as they come up, open the throttle

Would that only work if traction control was turned off?
I've been hitting the dirt on level 1 and haven't managed to lift the front yet - on purpose.

I suppose the best would be to test test test  :ricky:

Maybe one of the Quest guys could jump in here but my experience is the AT is a different beast with torque control off and I suspect it would need to be off to jump
