Fear of electrocution!

Have you ever decided to rather use a dirt route instead of the monotony of "tar and traffic" to get to work? The route you're familiar with has suddenly sprawled into an informal settlement, with wires criss-crossing all over the place and a spiderweb of wires at a junction box/light pole/circuit breaker house? This is worse than an unfamiliar water crossing. Your thoughts/experiences?
