Bundu Bash 2018 took place this last weekend and it turned out to be an awesome ride.
Weather reports the day before were ominous with heavy rain predicted throughout the day, so I fielded calls from nervous riders asking whether the ride was still going ahead or not. I chose to be optimistic, saying I expected late afternoon showers, but no rain in the morning.
As it turned out my optimism was well founded and we only had a sprinkling of rain during the day, with some heavier rain after 17h00 for the last bit.
Unfortunately quite a few riders were not as confident as me and they let Friday night's deluge keep them away, so numbers were a bit down, but those that made it had a great day out.
Left World's View at around 07h30, headed through the world's View plantations, across to Cedara plantations for our first stop at the top of Swartkop, where the normal great view was non-existent.
I didn't take any pics so these are stolen from various riders who managed some along the way.
