Today I saw some marks on the bike frame, and on closer inspection realized that the battery overflow pipe became lose 
Lots of damage to the internal plastics! Took me the whole afternoon to strip the bike and clean the mess up.
Monday I am buying a sealed unit.
Only postive thing that came of this is that I replaced the airfilter as well.
