Estimate landing price around R190 000.
Can be cheaper, or not.

There is very limited stock coming into SA.

KTM in PE has 42 bikes on pre-order, they will only receive 2 of these in the 1st shipment  :'(

Trust that little voice in your head that says 'Wouldn't it be interesting if...'; And then do it.

From AdvRider

https://advrider.com/ktm-announces-790-adventure-pricing-for-us-uk-canada/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=editorial&utm_content=02_13_2019

"KTM has revealed pricing for its 790 Adventure bike in several markets, including the US, the UK and Canada.

The KTM 790 Adventure was officially revealed in its final production form at the 2018 EICMA industry show, but spy shots of the bike have been circulating ever since late 2017. It’s built around the same liquid-cooled 799 cc parallel twin that powers the 790 Duke. It comes in two versions, the Adventure and the upscale Adventure R, with higher-spec components, like adjustable forks and Metzeler Karoo tires.

For 2019, the KTM 790 Adventure carries a $12,499 MSRP in the US; the Adventure R is priced at $13,499. In the UK, the 790 Adventure is £11,099, and the Adventure R is £11,999.00. In Canada, the 790 Adventure is $13,499 and the Adventure R is $14,599.

So where does that place them in the pricing spectrum? In KTM’s lineup, they slot in between the 690 Enduro and the 1290 Super Adventure variants. MSRPs vary from region to region, depending on what country you’re in and whether there’s seasonal discounting. But, generally speaking, KTM’s new machines are more expensive than the BMW F750 GS and less than the F850 GS. Triumph’s 800 Tiger lineup starts at roughly the same price.

Official pricing hasn’t been released for the Yamaha Tenere 700 yet, but indications are it will be in this ballpark. Although it’s not a direct competitor, the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is roughly the same displacement, and comes in at slightly less money.

At this point, it’s looking like KTM may have introduced these machines at a very good price point. They both come with proper 21-18 spoked offroad wheels and WP suspension as standard, along with basic electronic safety systems (traction control, adjustable engine output modes) and a TFT screen. Perhaps the most important stat is the 105 hp rating, more than anything else in the 800 cc ADV bike class. That’s likely going to steer more than a few buyers towards the KTMs, once they’re in showrooms."

My only issue with it "Steering damper" as standard,,, why do all their bikes get head shakes to start with? Headshakes should be listed as standard.
