I think it is the safest position on the road, always on the outside of the curve, for the following reasons:
- Increase line of sight
- It is much easier and quicker to increase the lean angle of the bike, to miss an obstacle, than to get the bike upright.
- Your head is much further from any potential obstacle when you lean into a corner.
I agree with the green lines shown when the road is turning left, as on the photo, but not at all when the road is turning right ( when you are driving on the right hand side, in RSA it would be the opposite).When the road is turning right, you should be in the yellow zone
