Durban Northern Suburbs Bike Security Question

Hi All, will be staying in Umhlanga at a holiday flat for 2 weeks and wanted to take the 1200 GSa with for doing a couple of day trips from there. I am a bit concerned leaving the bike outside. The complex has an electric gate but no security and the lockable Garage assigned to the unit is not behind the gate but easily accesible from the street.
I have an alarm disc lock and suppose I can chain the bike to something, like my ca ;Dr.
Any thoughts or comments will be highly appreciated!
