Electric bikes here we come!

If you are commuting then a cheap electrical bike makes sense.  Consider this:

R40 grand is not cheap... and after 6 months the battery starts failing... We had 3 chopstix electric bikes at work, they all failed within 12 months and were written off as unrepairable.

Reasonable if it lasts.  Expensive for 6-12 months.

My 5yr old son and I ride Oset’s together.  He’s on a 16 and I’m on a 20. There is something magic about riding around MTB and public parks, dogs don’t even notice you.  Even though I weigh roughly double the bikes recommend limit, the torque is insane to the point of my turning the ‘response’ down, and that’s only a 1200w 48V motor.  The batteries only lasts an hour or so but by then we’re happy to head for the car.  You get Lipo batteries in the UK which weigh a quarter and last 4 times as long. 
Don’t knock it till you try it.
