Did anyone also notice that the Stanction looks the same as before they discovered there is a problem.
None of the new bikes have the braces thingies put on like with the recall they had  :o

Or did they fix the issue internally without having to put that brace on?

My 2017/2018 doesnít have the brace thingy either. Itís basically crimped the whole way around. They would not release my bike u til it had the new stactions fitted.

I don't care what the price is. Whatever it is I'll pay it, 'cos I just gotta have gold rims and a TFT screen.  :deal:

I bought my DCT, brand new, fitted all the usual bits and bobs like crash bars, bash plate, wide footpegs, spotlights, radiator protectors and then a new Wilbers suspension, designed for my weight, as well as beautiful Alpina tubeless rims. Total cost of the bike as it stands as now around 210 - 220 thousand rand, 100 000 rand less than the standard GS!

:thumleft: Makes sense in many ways. I can just imagine the adventure I shall put on the bike with a R100 000 to spare. Cape to Cairo and back with the money saved.

I was qouted R299 for the GSA. But they said they will chuck in a freebee or whatever I want or cash discount.
Said I can have a Topbox or Navigator  if I decide not to go for cash discount.

To tell the truth - except for the tft display, the bike doesn't actually look all that special to me. Those golden rims look like something that came out of India.

Have you seen it in the flesh?
It's a thing of beauty.

Everything looks just more refined on it. Even the engine feels smoother.

:sip: What?, a thing of beauty?, the enjine does not wobble?, I can see that a person that wears socks with sandles had a say in the design of this thing.  :3some: :pot:

Everything is relative. My bike is worth R100k less than the AT with more extras more power more whatever. What's the point of reasoning like this? Apples and oranges...
