Any WD entered for Roof 2019 in December?
Or who is going to be there and watch?

So??
NO WD going? :deal:

Will also be racing silver  :'(  See you guys there.
Think it is going to be a very long day in the saddle for silver and gold.

Altus mentioned that he slept in the mountains while marking the silver route  :eek7:

Wish I knew the routes a bit better. Very much in the dark on what to expect from silver this year.
The distance for silver this year seems very long and there are talks that silver is more technical than previous years. Which means we are in for 10hrs on Friday minimum

I can tell you about Saturday, the Silver is not much more than what Bronze are doing hence Charan saying its your easier day and Bronzes hardest.
Same route to Bushmans, means up the loooooong Welcome/Belekomo pass.
From Bushmans to Roma it looks like Bonze go around via Pressure Cooker and you will probably do "Boilers" or "Middle Pass" . (If I read that map correctly)
And then this Foxhole/Freefall opfok.

I can see how this is going to be a long ride and keeping moving is going to be the key to klapping the km.

Josh is not riding this year. We will be there though as he is doing media video coverage for the new NESS enduro series and does social media management for a few pro riders. We will be there with bikes and based out of Maseru as closer to to Thaba Tseka. Accomodation always at a primium and even more so this year - there is a proper tented camp at the Thaba Tseka Lodge and would also be at Ramabanta. Looking forward to the mountains.  :ricky: :ricky: :ricky:

I tried yes, 2013, the year where it almost washed away with downpour. We were timebarred early in the race before even working up a decent sweat (hypothetically speaking now :).  However my riding buddies each have a silver under the belt already from 2012.
That was an epic race, I finished 14th in Bronze on the Friday (72 started and only 16 finished)
The Saturday I did not race, can still kick myself.

Following on from Striggs, yous think just pitching up with a tent should be okay, in the general vicinity?

Not really - proper camping sites are few and far between. Ramabanta has good camping and there should be at Roma, also there was going to be a larney tented villiage at Thaba Bosui.

Thanks Dom :thumleft:

Not really a ROA fan. Unless I'm racing myself, I don't have much interest in watching others. But I love riding Lesotho ............... they've got the best tar roads in Africa

Enjoy

Heading down tomorrow, looks like rain on Friday.
The GPS routes were released yesterday and some light rain does make it tricky but not totally impossible.
