Have the pics all lined up but Photobucket gave me major kark yesterday, bombimg out when every 2nd pic was uploading. I see someone else also had hassles. Took me 20 min per picture. I'm on nightshift and hardly had sleep yesterday due to sukkeling.

Will try now again. Otherwise I'll just gooi 3 at a time.

OK I need some help with who this was. Also correct me if I get subsequent names wrong.

This rider gets first prize for his relentless attack of the middelmannetjie. A brave fight indeed.

By now you should have seen a pattern forming. ALL the riders that had problems had not stayed in the rut. Trucks and bakkies had probably been stuck there before causing deep ruts to form despite there being no significant middelmannetjie at the access or exit. The water is muddy so you cannot see it. So visualise where you believe the tracks to be. Choose one and STICK TO IT. The water will be deeper but you won't slip and slide. Enter carefully with just enough momentum (unless your name is N[]vA) and you can give gas and exit with a flourish if you wish.

Seasoned riders (or formally trained ones) can differ from me if they like but that's my  take on it. I also do it that way through rocky crossings like Baviaans and have not encountered any problems.

...From the comments posted RE the Sundays Alternative Special Ride, I'm not the only one to correctly describe this route as a true Adventure Ride.

Was great fun seeing so many ride outside their usual comfort zones... And experience the exhilaration  >:D  >:D  >:D

P.S. Paramed... To add to everyone's appreciation... BIG thax for watching our back. Hope your bike is up and running soon, Boet.
