Good morning you all, trust everybody got a good rest. I was rather tired but it was good.
Thanks again for all who rode, it was a pleasure to have such company.

My friend on his Dakar unfortunately had to leave us early but I trust he will be on the very next ride.
On our way back Stevh0 and I swapped bikes because his arse couldn't take the punishment anymore.
Was fun riding the blue machine but I gladly took my babe back after about 50km's

Here is the link to the video I made, I kept it prompt but it's still a little longer than I intended. The group was just so big and the fun never stopped!

thanks Andy and Pete and everyone.  :thumleft:

That's right, I got a flat. The way I found out was the bike suddenly became uncontrollable and flung me violently to the ground - here I sit at home nursing a swollen pinky finger and a moerofa sore back (point of impact was my lower back, off to the side, sort of hips / kidney area. eina)

Ajaiaiaj Wes......... maybe you should consider a hobby closer to the ground

i hear you, i've been thinking the same thing  :-\

What, do you want a KX 250?  :mwink:

no, that I need a hobby closer to the ground. anyone want to buy a xchallenge?  :deal:

First all the thank you‚??s  :thumleft:
To the explorers, XT660 and Wayneh, a big thumbs up guys and thanks for sharing the route with us. Also thanks to PistonPete for being the instigator and then Paramed for the backup vehicle and support!

Thanks to the sweeping team, Mark Hardy, Camelman and The-wes. If I left anyone out here, my apologies, because I am sure I have seen a few other ‚??old timers‚?Ě sticking around at the water crossings to help people through. Or maybe they are just sadistic. :)

Rassie GS 800 plus two soon to be dogs, helped me ‚??prepare‚?Ě the night before and we only went up to Moorreesburg. If we had skipped the beers at the local pub, we would probably have completed the journey, but the beers took us on a different route back to Cape Town. I blame XT660. Well, I guess I will just blame him for everything! :)

I will upload a video tonight ‚?? a few pics:

First stop Occuldale:

Durtseekers road to treedom:

Lunch in the Swartland, how much better can it get? OK, besides the miggies

The_wes, I just needed to come clean here. Here is the proof that you did actually do something!

I am sure that this discussion was about a few thrills and spills :P

Protection against the ever assaulting miggies

One very dirty GS 800. Mud = snot ‚?? knobblies + lots of power

I must admit, for someone that enjoys sliding around at a bit higher speed, this was an awesome experience and f@rking hard work!
 :ricky: :ricky:

....AND the biggest damn evil of them all!!
