« on: March 11, 2019, 02:48:19 pm »
Two of my 690's were taken from my driveway last night.

Both 2018 models.

CA455060 - Remus pipe, crash bars/bash plate (Rost Eng), Acerabis hand guards, Unifilter air filter orange headlight protecter, Amp Rugged GPS mount, Seat Saint gel seat, handle bar power socket

CA935510 - Acrapovic pipe, KTM bash plate, Rost crash bars, Unifilter air filter, Cycra Probend hand guards.

Please look out if you're offered any of these bits or complete bikes.

Sorry to hear! Will spread the word
Surely if I was obsessed with motorcycles I’d have more than one; no two; no three; no no, four… ah, never mind…

Sorry for your loss  :'(

Maybe gooi them on the database in the link below..

http://www.stolenvehicles.co.za/

Does anyone know of a site that shows the most "popular" bikes to be stolen? Would be interested to see which bikes carries a lower risk.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

is your driveway open to the street or were they behind a gate ?

what area / suburb ?

do you think they were ridden away or loaded on a vehicle or trailer ?

I stay in Lynfrae , Claremont.
At the end of a long driveway but visible from the street when the cars are out.
Steering locked
Big sliding gate. They jumped over the gate, broke open the gate motor housing (piss easy) and slid the gate open.
The bikes stand under a long carport right under an outdoor passive that for reason unknown failed to activate. They had piled some bricks under the passive to reach it but I don't understand how they could bypass it.

Must have had a bakkie or trailer outside. Between 2am and 5am we had heavy rain and the rai on the roof of the carport is very noisy.

Sounds like they knew what they wanted and had this planned - not an opportunistic easy theft of a bike that they had easy and open access to

I am sorry for your loss - hopefully the Cape Town motorcycle community can help retrieve your bikes

Damn these mofos. I visited family in Claremont on Saturday night in a block of flats and was worried that the boney would not be there in the morning. Next time I'll use the car.

Whenever I hear of a bike theft my wish for the owner is that he gets the bike back only in a condition that he would like to have it back.

Best of luck in that regard, and may the thieving bastards get what they deserve.  :patch:

Kokken fonte.....
Thats not right man.
Jobs getting less.......big growth in population (with the k@k believe that having 10 kids with 3 different wives make you a rich man) ......steady inflow of "opportunists" from neighboring countries.....
It will get worse, you will have to sharpen up your security.
I hope you find your yster perde.
