I have very successfully ordered parts for the Dax from these guys https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-qr50_model1234/

A few months ago they halted all sales and shipping to South Africa due to shipping issues but may be worth while giving them a call to find out if anything has changed - if not drop me a PM - can be shipped to a friend who can bring with him in November if small and not in a hurry.

What alternative carb can be used on the bike. I have two and a half of them but the start up carb is fubar. Gerald, I'll see what parts I have spare. I just need to build up one

Try your local Honda dealer, I was very much surprised that the were able to supply all the parts I needed for my Dax, some ex Japan, price was very competitive. Got great service on my doorstep.

I also have one with I reckon about 90% of the spares. Just need to assemble the front shocks if I can find the seals I carefully put in a safe place so I don't lose them  :eek7: Just got the PW50 going again for eldest son now the youngest wants his QR running  ::)

I know there are others who must have had their woe's with these bikes.

Please help as I can't find a workshop annual yet. What does the starter valve connect to that actuates it ? Like a normal choke, has a cable what does this bike have ?

Seems there are some of us with small Honda's that need help. I've merged and moved the two topics here where we can discuss. If it should be somewhere else please move

I am away from home at the moment but have the manual below

I can take a look when I am back in CPT and if it includes info on the QR, I’ll be happy to take photos of pages you might need info on.
