Cylinder head 'protectors'

My last little tumble made a mess of the original 'protector' on the right side and so, like it's twin it seemed most likely destined to become more Pratley and paint than original plastic, which of course reduces it's efficacy to just about zero. But that's not good so I though just maybe I might do a couple of weeks stint as a car guard or something and get a new pair. Only to be told that they're no longer available at any price.
What now? Aftermarket goodies? Alas they also seem to be getting obsolete. Bike Gear drew a blank, but I'm wondering whether any other vendors here can help.
