Sand riding - 101
« on: October 14, 2008, 12:15:25 pm »
OK, first of all this is not a ride report, just some pictures to show you what my backyard looks like ;)

I eventually received the kit I ordered from the US so my neighbor and myself went for a quick spin around the dunes which is just about 3km from where we are currently staying in temporary accommodation.

It is getting cool now but we still karked off in 30 degrees cee ;D. I asked him to take some pictures of me but most came out blurred - must be the Alzheimers >:D We had a blast going up and down sandunes and let me just say that the BRP did not disappoint :thumleft:.

Will be doing this regularly (man I am unfit :-[)

I'll tell you something...gyms are completely unnecessary if you are able to this for a couple of hours a day. What a blast :thumleft: :thumleft:

I believe you!! I havenâ??t even done such hectic riding, not too mention that much sand riding â?? but every time Iâ??ve been out on off-road I discover new muscles I didnâ??t know existed!! But itâ??s all such great fun! :)

Dune riding is an absolute blast, have only done it once but would not shy away from it again.

Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing. Is that a specific area you ride in or is it part of the wide open desert?

It's the start of the open desert. There is a couple of small settlements towards the mountains in Oman.
