Hi All

Thanx for the feedback regarding TB. The results of our poll clearly show only support for the TB campaign. We shall therefore link this forum to TB for people to join or show their support - come Thursday when funacide is back. Although everyone support the TB principle, some were concerned in the way it is executed and the image it portrays. Feel free to discuss these concerns with the TB organisers on their website (follow the link). Most of the TB people are good folk and would appreciate the feedback - don't let a couple of rotten apples spoil the good intentions of the campaign.

Please feel free to take all future TB issues up with the organisers on their website at www.thinkbike.co.za or PM Adventurer - he's moderating on the TB website. Alternatively, post the TB graphic in your signature line to show support.

Sweet, good move. Think Bike is a great principle, and I seriously hope it has good effect and changes a few minds or makes people more aware.

On that note, I applaud the guys who started this, its actually in the interests of bikers, and I am dead sure it cost dolleros and time and effort. Big Ups to them for that!

I personally dont get much involved as I prefer to do my things in a different way (call me insular or what have you), but I think that those who do put the effort in are actually amazing - eg: MacDuff down here in Cape Town. Well done Mac!

Michnus, it's not only in EL...on my way back from sundays run..i saw exactly the same thing on the N1 near lynnwood offramp... a couple of guys some with pillion came screaming down the highway at mach 3 with shorts and tee's... i couldnt believe my eyes. Anyway.. we had someone on the ride sunday come off at fair speed with full ATTGATT.... he was battered but it could have been much worse if no kit.

I sweat gladly.

I stuck stickers on both my bike and cage. When I'm in my cage I try not to run over motorcycles and when I'm on my bike I try to be an ambassador without riding like a nerd.

I don't stand on street corners and hand out TB flyers and I don't ask shops to support the campaign.

I disagree almost completely!

I do agree that both parties need education (ThinkBike's view) but I also believe that ignorant motorist are a bigger broblem than hooligan bikers.
I ride my machine like a decent law-abiding citizen, (mostly anyway

) but almost daily run the risk of being injured by a car through no fault of my own.

careful now, if this is gonna be a discussion about tb in particular, it should go onto the tb forum. if tb is not the crux of the discussion, pse continue in a separate thread.

Thanks for all the support guys, if there are any issues you would like me to address, drop me a pm. I will do my best to act on it and your ID will stay confidential. I am always open for criticism in the interests of improving the product. It is a field where we can make a difference, there are lots of issues that need attention in this country of ours, but this is one that can be changed.

We appreciate your dedication Adventurer. TB definately is a worthwile cause, nomatter what the various critisisms are.

Everyone's small contribution leads to safer road users (all kinds). Let's hope the campaign will go from strength to strength.
