If you could...
« on: April 15, 2019, 09:58:47 pm »
If you could pick one bike and one car that you have always wanted a go at, what would they be?

For me the bike would have to be the Britten V1000 purely because it is so unique and was so revolutionary for it's time. It was a close call between this and a few of the legendary 1980's dakar bikes which are absolutely iconic as well.

And the car would have to be a modern WRC rally car like the Citroen C3 WRC . I would love to get the opportunity to drive one of them in anger.

The bike would have to be a TZ750 2 stroke made famous by Kenny Roberts at the Indy Mile  :drif:

The car... also was and always will be a Ferrari fan, particularly of the Enzo  :drif:
Present bikes: BETA 300RR, KTM 690, Yamaha WR250F

If you're dumb you gotta be tough !!!

@Kortbroek - ek dink jy moet in Afrikaans ook vra. Die manne verstaan nie lekker die verskil tussen "in my garage" en "can have a decent go at"....  :lol8:

Nurburgring in a CLK GTR

Bikes are too many to make it as any form of reality...
People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day. And doing nothing often leads to the very best kind of something.

This daft old question again. I really doubt whether anyone would have the same answer next week, next month or next year.
Far as bikes are concerned, for me it's like choosing from an impossibly long list. Like choosing your favourite breath of air.

Cars? How ridiculous. Surely for a biker there is nothing, absolutely nothing the least bit exciting about a car. They are just an appliance, nothing more. So I'll pick what must be the best car ever made at any price. My Hyundai i10.
Succumb not to the erosion of those born of unconsecrated union.

"Two Wheels, an engine and a place to sit." What more do you need?

"They" say I confuse wanting to stay young with wanting things to stay as they were when I was young.

Hmmm, some droolworthy choices here.

For today, bike-wise, Doohan's NSR500 would be nice.

Car wise, an Auto Union Type C V16.

Honda XR125L
Honda XL600R
Honda XR600R
Yamaha TW200

You can get a go in one bike and one car of your choice and you choose a go in your Hyundai I10!  Why?  You already have it and can have a go in it any day you like.  Why not go for a Hyundai I20 for the once off go instead?   :lol8:
