Call her many names! To keep the peace, I will call her on the forum what is accepted and as far as I know its SWAMBO but the defiant fuck that I am does not accept that!

Boss sure has a nice ring to it doesn't it?

On a few other forums (aviation related) like avcom and microlighters (specifically) They are referred to as "softness"  - although thinking about it, I don't see guys referring to "them" as often as we do here.
I personally have an issue with Swambo (she who always must be obeyed)  as a term. I just don't abide by having to obey anyone all the time. Chat to a lady about your marriage vows being to "honor and obey" and I believe that you may get some resistance.
My take is that you are my partner / girlfriend... not my jailer and hence the obey word, really just causes me to rebel.

Suppose that's a very different thread though. softness, they're called softnesses on other forums
I like that... but my wife is taaierer than a Ratel as well sometimes... :thumleft:

Your Pillion , Partner , Wife , What is she called on this forum? On the 4x4 comunity she is called SWAMBO , ( She who always must be obeyed)  :imaposer: :imaposer:, Here when I post I say wife, partner just does not sound correct and pillion , well that could be the dog .  :laughing4:
Maybe we could adopt Swambo here as well?

Swambo has been in use here since I joined some years ago, but since it is my wife, I will call her whatever I want.

Since she is not on this forum ....

That you know of...  :lol8: :lol8:

If "she must always be obeyed", then SWAMBO should stand for "She who axed my balls off"

It depends on whether you feel threatened by calling your wife SWAMBO, or not. My wife smiles when she is called  that, because she receives some recognition. But we both know it is a joke. It will be nice for her to be always obeyed, but she knows that it is not true in our house. At the same time I will flatter her ego if I do live up to SWAMBO, but we both know it is not true. Sometimes I actually listen, stop to hear what she has to say, but sometimes not.
"The wife" may sometimes be more derogatory as it reduces a person to an object, where Swambo in a playful setting shows recognition.
It all depends on what your wife's love language is. My wife's is recognition☺

Swambo's response: "He called me a bitch, I called him an ambulance"  :peepwall:

This has gone longer than I thought it would.  I reckon the names you use for each other depends on your relationship.  I, sometimes walk into the house and loudly say: "Bring food wench!"  I survive that, because it is a mutual joke between us.

I generally call Mrs Zog  "yes dear".

Just agreeing and doing what she asks of me is the path of least resistance  :peepwall:

But jokes aside, I could not ask for a better partner  :thumleft:

Of course, they are our beloved Swambo's - always, but the rules get bent when considering the acquisition of another bike :pot:
