Wiring harness tape - What kind?
« on: April 19, 2019, 06:23:23 pm »
Evening everyone. I have some wires on my bike that are exposed, coming through the old harness. What kind of tape can I use? I bought fleece tape but it doesn't seem weatherproof?! Can anyone please give me some advice as to what tape to use? And where to get it? Thanks!

These are the wires in question, they run in direct contact with the engine so they get exposed to a lot of heat. They are currently covered with fleece tape.

Midas sells harness tape exactly like that on you bike, about R60 per roll.

Thank you, that is exactly what I bought, the bike in the picture is mine. What concerns me is the fact that the tape doesn't look very waterproof. Is it the best option?

you have also polished your bike with red spray paint, I hate self vulcanizing other than for repairs. :sip:
