African Twin compact light bag and tools setup:

Hi again,
I have not yet purchased any bag and or the necessary tools to carry with me on long trips... So far I have only done short distance runs, closes to home not exceeding 200km per day, but risking this due to not have a tire tool kit... I really need to urgently invest in some good compact tools, and tool bags and carry system...
I want to keep the CRF light and hence not looking for large bulky bags... but need something that at least works for me and my riding style...
I’m running tubed tires so need to plan accordingly... Anyone recommend something.
I seem to like the rugged look of soft luggage, but living and riding in SA this might be a stupid way to go...
Most of my riding I do together with my good wife, and we currently do about 80% off road riding...

Any tips or pointers will be appreciated.
