I feel a bit like Captain Slow for starting this thread  :pot: but what the hell.

As some of you know I had a Honda XL600R - well that's gone now thank goodness.  :-\
I still have a Tiger 955 and also a TW200 though.
Very happy with the Tiger and it's perfect for the touring we do.
I mainly use the TDub to ride to work and putter around Stellenbosch - never actually took it further.
Plan is now to get rid of the TW as well and get another bike to 'play' with.

It must be able to offer the same functionality as did the TDub (ie short distance town hopper) and also serve as a weekend play bike to go gravel road / trail / sand riding. I enjoy more technical rides and this bike must definitely be suitable for the slightly rougher stuff.

I have a few requirements and restrictions though:
- electric start
- road legal
- tall enough to suit my 'biggish' frame  :'(
- suspension capable of dealing with my weight and maybe some luggage
- good power to weight ratio
- comfortable cruising speed on tar if needed
- good at falling / crashing (no expensive plastics/fairing)
- easy serviceable

Just cant bring myself to go for another kickstart so been thinking along the lines of:
Honda XR650L, Yamaha XT600E, Suzuki DRZ400

With a budget of NO MORE than R30k what would you suggest?  ??? ???
