it looks like they are going through tough times now......  :'(

"Steyn's Story and Fundraising Campaign: (Please like and share Steyn's page)

On 12 May 2019 Steyn Steenberg's left leg had to be amputated above the knee in order save his live following an accident. Due to severe blood loss he lost consciousness and had to be resuscitated twice to keep him alive. As a result he also suffered a stoke that led to damage to two areas of his brain. He lost 50% of his visual range and is totally blind from the focal point in both eyes to the left. His speech was also affected but is slowly recovering.
Other injuries were a pelvis fracture front and back, several fractured ribs, displaced & fractured left wrist, severe lacerations and internal bleeding of his spline and left kidney.

Steyn is a humble, intelligent and positive 16yr old boy, loved by everyone that knows him. He has extreme challenges in the future and urgently needs funding to help cover his medical expenses so that he can rejoin society as an able youngster.

For now the funding target is set for his initial prosthetic leg. However as broken down below his expected medical expenses over the next few years far exceeds this target.

Prosthetic leg initially 2019 R250 000 / $16 400 Visual treatment in Germany: R300 000 / $20 000 Prosthetic leg yearly wear & tear 2020: R110 000 / $7300 Prosthetic leg replacement 2021: R250 000 / $16 400 Prosthetic leg yearly wear & tear 2022: R110 000 / $7300 Prosthetic leg yearly wear & tear 2023: R110 000 / $7300 Prosthetic leg replacement 2024: R250 000 / $16 400

With your help Steyn would be able to get a prosthetic leg and hopefully specialist treatment in Germany for his vision. He would be able to finish school and university as an able youngster and not be hampered by funding. He would love to make a positive contribution to society someday.
