I've posted a link to a sidecar annual on my first post. Very useful if you thinking of putting a sidecar on your bike.

I've made some mistakes and having put some kilo's on it, they have shown up. Trial and error. Now I can understand better why.

Don't look back, that's not where you're going.

Die wheel lead op myne is so 200mm. Minder as wat teoreties die spec van my bike vereis (225mm). Maar my wiel wydte is min. 1310mm.

Elke rig se set-up is uniek binne algemene parameters.

The work so far. Repositioned the stabilizers to be perpendicular between the car and bike, with home made clevice joints on the bottom. They say that it is the correct way. It should be hard mounted, but with my method of construction I had to keep the top rose joints.

The sidecar joints must be strong enough that there is no forward/backward bending force on the stabilizers. Since mounting the car and our trip, it has not moved a millimeter. I did get a lot of wear and tear, and rattling, on the rose joints of the stabilizers the way they were mounted.

We'll see if I have solved the problem. Next to rebuild the suspension.

Re-purposed. Not going to make the same mistake again. This time the gusset goes over the joint.
