Dit maak saak vir versekering as iets verkeerd gaan. Daar is 'n proses. Die fiets moet herregistreer word vir fiets met sidecar. Assesment letter van treiler bouer of soortgelyk, roadworthy ens. Net schlep, maar nie probleem nie. Daai deel is klaar in plek en my mense het dit reeds gesort

Today's work. Making and fitting the lugs for the bike stabilizer joints. Now we start with the 10% that takes 90% of the time. It requires painstaking precision and takes my cut and paste method to new levels  :lol8:

Need some help. I need this part for my build. Its a 12V electric linear actuator, with a handlebar toggle controller. This particular product Part no PA-17-6-2000 is supplied by Progressive Automations in Canada. I already have immigrant on it and otherwise my people are looking.

All help is appreciated as I'm not that sharp on the internet. I have mailed the supplier and Oshkosh found a supplier in SA with similar products. Parker Hannifin. I'm waiting to hear from the also.

Thanks.

Hi Gerrard, Snuggles here, I was working on one of our Sandvik drill rigs yesterday & I took a photo of the linear actuator & it's data plate, the manufacturer is based in the UK & has a website: https://transmotec.com/product-category/linear-actuators/?gclid=CjwKCAjw7O_pBRA3EiwA_lmtfh9GmtVYN8EPHhtJHGrYM5-92p2-ATGNo28ZW-rQVEfyMaEn_a2ICxoChxMQAvD_BwE
You can just click on the link above, I have one of the guys that works with me flying to the UK tomorrow for his 2 week break, if you want he can hand carry this back to me & I can get one of the other Saffers to hand carry it to SA for you. If you PM me your WhatsApp number I will send you the photos of the actuator on the drill rig, these are quality heavy duty actuators & on the website there are many different size & strength options.
I am enjoying your build thread, keep up the great work.  :thumleft:

Stage one complete. Sidecar frame fixed to the bike. Pleased with it so far, despite a few miss measurements which worked out well in the end... by accident or design.  :lol8:

Tomorrow night it goes on the wheels to test the suspension and send to Superfoxi for a fix up. All the framework then gets stripped for some small finishes, gussets and some welds etc. The 1150 will then also be sent away for a complete drive train rebuild.

Still lots to do. When it all comes back the sidecar goes together for test riding and to build the tub. Then only is it strip down and paint.

Lets build a sidecar they said.....  :lol8:
