After a Baviaans trip (with lots of watercrossings) I drained my final drive oil and found a milky emulsion inside.

So annoyed that I didn’t replace the oil directly after the trip. Its a 10min job.

Water seems to leak in through the breather on top.
Is this a general problem on the 1150?

I inspected the 1200gs that went on the same trip: as I loosened the screw, it made a hissing sound (like breaking a airtight seal) as it was under slight pressure. Also interesting that the 1200 has no apparent breather down there..
