I replaced the original pump with a Fuel Performance pump about three years ago and have not had any issues yet. The pump came with a lifetime warranty which I hope to never have to test.
I often go on solo trips and am a little worried about getting stuck in the middle of nowhere where a warranty will not help much and if the pump packs up in a remote location having to fit a spare will mean draining the fuel and then you may not reach the next town after replacing the pump.
Have anyone here fitted an external pump? If so please post some details and photo's of how you did it.
Some time ago I read a post on the ADV forum about a guy that fitted a 450 Suzuki quad pump but could not find out anything more as he did not reply to messages.
Any suggestions?
