Headlight/dash mount screws backing out
« on: June 19, 2019, 09:49:01 am »
So I had that happen on Monday.  On a ride suddenly it seemed like my whole front clip/dash was bouncing around like mad.  Stopped at the destination and there was 1 screw left out of 4!!!

Even the one external air-filter which screws in under the headlight had been popped out!!

I guess liberal loctite is the way to prevent this?  Got the screws now but FAST didn't have stock of the little bucket washers.  Will have to go look somewhere else.

There's a fix for this. (pm me)

Its world wide kown issue of these adventure bikes. (1190/1090/1290)
Be glad they vibrate loose because if they dont the mounting points break off.

I have seen some "fixes" but they don't seem to take the load off the mounts, just link the mounts or reinforce the plastic.   TripleClampMoto has a decent solution but they want crazy money for it.
