Ross Branch is to compete in the first ever Dakar Rally taking place in the Middle East. This should be good.

He prefers the dunes and thinks he will do very well in this one!

I see there is also two SA woman that wants to do the Dakar.
Kirsten Landman & Taye Perry

I am not sure what exactly is going on, but I see some claiming Landman to be the first African woman to do Dakar, although Perry has also qualified

It will be seriously funny if the first Seffrican on the Dakar podium top step is a woman.

Taye Perry came third overall at the resent Botswana Desert 1000 Race. First ever podium for a woman on a motorcycle :)

Really happy that Ross Branch will be competing - he is really fast and has been doing a lot of rallye stuff. Think he will be a real podium contender.
