Its the Big One this Weekend Pikes Peak.

Always had a soft spot for this crazy race up the mountain after being there, not what it used to be as "Sierra Club" forced them to surface it all the way as there was too much "erosion" on the dirt sections caused by the racing  ::)

Anyway, its on this Sunday racing flat out up the mountain to 4,300m  :o :o
When is this "Old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

I saw a program 3 nights ago where the VW electric car set a new record...

So, after the death of the race leader on the second to last corner this year, its too dangerous, the organisers say there will be no bike classes in the 2020 "Race to the Clouds". :'(

Not too shabby. In a matter of weeks, that Voltswagen lapped the 12.9-mile Nürburgring Nordschleife in a time of 6:05.336, second only to the unrestricted Porsche 919 Evo LMP1 racer, broke the Pikes Peak record, and to round it off, broke the 20-year-old record set by a McLaren Formula 1 car for the fastest run up the Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb.
