Solo in Magalies - Sun 20/9
« on: August 23, 2006, 08:48:30 am »
Hi Guys,

did a short (290k) loop along the koppies, as much gravel as I could find!

Mountain Sanctuary has a technical climb to the office, and some decent sand to practice in, Breedtsnek (seems again..), and home along the route the Touratech guys took to Derby.

Would have been nice to have some company!  :(  :(  :(

Pics of two stops.. (cameraphone qual. yukkk!)

Cheers!

Cmon guys!
Any report is a good, many of us dont even post trip reports anymore!

Thanks Bigyellow. What kind of bike is that? Looks like an AT?
Why the yellow colourscheme?

Hi All,

ok, ok, all good natured ribbing accepted....

Bike is a Cagiva Elefant 750, Ducati 749cc 90 degree twin, 60hp, 23l tank.
looks like an AT cos its the same era, Dakar winner in 750cc in '94 and again in 900cc 2 yrs after I think...

I love my Ellie, bit faster than an AT, huge torque, handles like an Italian, would have loved a 21" front, but WTF cant have everything I suppose!

Promise longer trip reports for longer rides... how about some company?
who's riding Sunday & where are we going?

Cheers,

G.

Cool Gideon, Parys would be outstanding, but any other would be just great, see you at Sasol K'Dorp at 08h00...
