Herewith a list of items I felt I needed before I embarked on a multi-month journey from Michigan down through Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma  and around the Desert Southwest (Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, California and Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, British Columbia, and Alberta). If everything went to plan, Alaska before heading East through Saskatchewan, Manitoba, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, then back to the Michigan.

Items I had to order before leaving include a link to where I think I ordered them from!  <snip>

Talking about our demons and mental illness is still extremely taboo in our country.  Well, I'm done living my life with pent up rage and issues.  :peepwall: Life is survival dealing with the Human Condition we see everyday.  If I decide to tell all, it will be because it is such a liberating experience and I hope others suffering issues will find it easier to discuss their issues with friends and loved ones because if that dumbass big oil can do it, so can I.   :3some:

We have a thread where we share attacks by the Black Dog. One way or another it helps. Sometimes the only thing that helps is getting on the bike and blow some wind in the face. If it was part of your ride and you want to share, do so. You'll be surprised by the understanding you get here, because we know...

@ Big Oil....hope you left the point and squirt camera in the bag the whole trip, the pics you took with what I assume is your cellphone, have more depth that can only be perceived by those who have tried to shove a gloved hand into a pouch to clasp something that would hopefully simultaneously capture the view and what was on your mind.

And since we talk openly around these parts, I think your old profile pic was better and more suited and I too associate the current one with Jaco....go change it back.

PS: By page 2, I decided that I will be knocking on your door one day

What a huge trip.
Looking forward to the RR

Now here comes a thing.. the USA where everything is as big as your eyes

This is going to be an epic RR

Thank you thank you thank you.  I'm happy you follow.  Nice to read positive feedback for all this work.

Nothing starts a fire in an American girls panties faster than a ZA  accent.  :xxbah:  I'd encourage you DO NOT tell the wife of this, she'll never let you come over!
ain't that the truth  :lol8:
but I heard on the radio the other day that the Aussies are taking over from us now. maybe it's something to do with their propensity for sheep  :peepwall:  :imaposer:
Well, apparently the Aussies invented the condom, by using a sheep's colon. The Americans, though, improved on the design by taking it out of the sheep first.

:imaposer:  :spitcoffee:  I had to read that a few times, when I finally got the joke, I nearly shit my pants belly laughing.  :imaposer:  Funniest lines I've read in weeks.

This is going to be one epic RR, thanks for sharing and all the best with your battles.

Doesn't matter how hard arsed the guys here are, somewhere deep down (some very deep) we're all the same, whether you like it or not.

Push comes to shove, everyone will help out or give a shoulder to lean on.

Thank you for your kindness, talking about these subjects is still taboo in many places of my country.  That must change.

Thanks for sharing these beautiful landscapes. Massive country with such diversity in landscape  :thumleft:

The USA is definitely high on my dream travel list as well. I'd like to tag my family along and cross it with a van  :deal:

Funny you say this, Mr. Lem.  I'm at the age where I don't want to ride huge distances anymore to get to my chosen area.  I want to haul my bike and have a warm low cost place to sleep.  I'm waiting for a nice meticulously maintained pre-owned high roof cargo or passenger can I can unbolt the seats from.  Build a fold down bed, auxiliary power, refrigerator, etc.  Not extravagant by any means, just simple stuff to get me by and dry!

Herewith a list of items I felt I needed before I embarked on a multi-month journey

Hemorrhoid massager

you took a ladyboy with you?  :peepwall:  :imaposer:

:imaposer:  No sir, granite scale model of my exwifes long middle finger, that way I can remember just how much she screwed me.  :ricky:

Hemorrhoid lance
Hemorrhoid massager
I think his name is Lance.  :pot:

:imaposer:  You're on a roll, Sir OomD  :imaposer:

:laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4:

But well done big oil for opening up about your afflictions. Things we don't often speak of like the chronic eczema that plagues me in the same region.
It's a pain in the arse living with a PITA!   :xxbah:

Thank you, Sir jay biker, visions of balls, eczema, and anus went lovely with my breakfast cereal  :peepwall: :lol8:

Looking forward to being envious/jealous/soppies (afrikaans word meaning sadly disgruntled...) with the RR..

Don't be sad, make a plan to come ride here.  Just don't come with expectations you can see everything.

It sometimes bothers me when I feel I can't visit every place or road in my country in 2 lifetimes.  All I can do is see as much as possible.

The same goes for Africa.  I used to dream of covering most of African continent, but after joining here, I know that is no longer an option for me.  I know myself well enough to understand that I don't have enough patience for things such as border crossings and dealing with government workers whom care less about performing their duties.

When I come, I'm leaning towards just ZA and NAM.

:thumleft:

Too much stuff, Sir Fudge, I always begin trips with too much stuff and have to post several items home.

Thank you for your kind eloquent words, Mr Rufus.

I apologize, I didn't know someone had used the Dr. Evil avatar previously, I'm glad you were up front with me.  I'll change it soon. I felt like my bald eagle avatar portrays too much nationalism for bike forum, plus the eyes were a little intimidating even for me.  I'll look for avatar that I think people will like and respect more.

That's funny, let me know if you find someone willing to pay for a ball, I may have one to spare.

I'm hoping this report turns out awesome, though, it will most likely be like my life, marriage, favorite job, started out great  :imaposer:

@big oil...I didn't mean you to be without avatar in this process!. FWIW, in my most humble opinion, there is nothing wrong with the bald eagle....its a stoic statement of patriosim sitting on the side. If its who you are, then its who you are. One can be silent and proud in the same moment...my 2c.

Looking foward to more updates..hopefully, there are camping meal pics that feature not gatoraid, but a cold frosty beer that you spirited out of the last town you blew through!

No, forget it, Mr Avatar FBI  :pot:

Kidding!!

Thank you for your humble opinion, no worries mate, I haven't found the right avatar yet, so blank for now.

During my first stint here, there were a few comments about me displaying avatars portraying Trump and nationalism on a bike forum.

I don't want anyone viewing or following my report feeling uncomfortable .

There's a few camp and food pics coming!!

I vote bring back the eagle. It's just your national bird and an attractive one too. Identifies with you being American, but not aggressively nationalistic, any more than the NZ kiwi, or SA's blue crane.

Just 2c.
