HP2 en R80GS albei oorsee gestuur...... :thumleft:

Nogals n proses gewees maar n capable exporting company maak dinge definitief makliker. Bike moet eers geskrap word en deur toetse gaan om n export certificate te kry van Traffic departement.

RoBeck exports het albei my bikes gecrate en papier werk hanteer.....as jy meer inligting soek, stur my direk n pm.

Exporting motorcycle included the following:

1. Data-dotting of motorcycle (requirement for police clearance)
2. Application for Police Clearance at license department.
3. Verification process at local police station.
4. Taking documents back to license department.
5. Waiting for Police clearance certificate
6. De-registration of bike and marking bike as export on their license database. All of the above can be done and dusted in 5 days.

In addition to the above, the following is required from the buyer:

1. Bill of Sale Agreement, signed.
2. Copy of buyer's passport or Identification Document.
3. Address details.
4. Final sale price as this is needed to present invoice to license department.

The shipping company need to be informed of the above steps as they need to work out shipping rates, dates. etc.

Is jy seker dis nie scam nie?  As dit n rare versamel stuk is verstaan ek, maar enige ander algemene fiets sal ek uiters versigtig wees . Is dit vir die 701?

Please make sure you get the money before you go and "scrap" / de-register the bike and have it marked for export

because if the deal does not happen and the buyer pulls out for some reason after you have done this then you will have to repeat all the steps again to have it re-registered and it will then be registered as a "built-up" and fall in the same status category as write off rebuilds, stolen recovered - basically what was / is known as a Code 3 vehicle
The older I get the faster I was

Jip, very important.....timing is key with exporting a bike and full on commitment from buyer. Overseas buyer's are also very hesitant to deposit R185k (example) into a foreign bank account without actually having the bike in their garage safe and sound. Trust need's to be built up over the sale period to reduce the risk of not receiving funds after bike has been taken off your name.

I sold both bikes without a sent paid in my account right up to the point where the bikes were actually shipped.

@Noneking
