Yeah the Amish are interesting, we only know from what we see on TV, even though it' black and white

Love reading your posts, some more stories and insight into the Amish would be awesome! Perhaps a dedicated Amish thread?

Enjoy your bike, hope the issues are finally sorted now.

I was tired!
Wonder why? :peepwall:
You pleasantly surprise me with your good heartedness! :thumleft:
Thank you for giving us some insight in the Amish and their livestyle!

Yeah, I put in a long day, lots of lifting.  Yesterday, I paid for all the heavy lifting!

Good heartedness?  Yeah, maybe a little  >:D  I get paid decent for hauling the Amish.

You're welcome, I'm fascinated by their culture.

Hope you're well, Hennie   :thumleft:

I agree, the reality tv shows portraying their lifestyle were scripted and mostly fake, it bothers them that they were portrayed in such ways.

Good idea on beginning an Amish thread, though many of them don't care for being photographed.  Some believe in superstition regarding pictures.

There's going to be a barn raising event Tuesday at Milo's farm, where the enormous barn burned recently.  If I can figure out how to do a time-lapse video of the event by Tuesday, I may have some cool footage to share, either way, I hope to at least get some video and stills of the event.

Thanks on the bike, I hope the glitch is finally figured out.

Thanks for following.

15 Aug 2019

I awoke at 4:30am, had some apple juice, my back was hurting from all the heavy lifting.

So, like any no good piece of dung, I went back to sleep until 8:30.

Got up, had a cup of coffee, smocked a little kushy, went back to bed until about 2:30.

God up, had some water, smocked more kushy trying to numb the pain, went back to bed until about 6:30.

Got up, ate some leftover spaghetti, and then I don't recall what I did the rest of the evening, it involved more sleep and rest.

I awoke at 4:30am, had a cup of coffee.  Went out to barn to sit in the cool temp with another cup of coffee.

Wretched all of the spaghetti I had the previous evening.

I went back to bed until 9am, got up, still in pain from the move, smocked, went back to bed until 2pm.

I awoke feeling excellent, so it was time to fire up the Katoom and explore.

I rode down to my bank in Hillsdale, Mitten.  From there I went to explore a lake I used to spend much time on.

Baw Beese Lake west shore.

I then rode around to the north shoreline.

Further clockwise around Baw Beese Lake, there's a park within the park.

I finally felt like I could eat something, so I rode back towards home, on the way I decided to stop in downtown Jonesville, Mitten for my favorite Texas Brisket Chimichanga with jalapeño gravy, at Saucy Dogs.  Just the thing for an upset stomach, burn whatever is causing issues out of the stomach with the jalapeño gravy.

A couple of pics of downtown Jonesville first.

So, I need WD help making a decision to buy an old Honda Ridgeline in hopes of flipping it for profit.

Pics of the Honda coming soon along with a video of the engine purring like a kitty.

Here's a pic of a spider near the tire.

and herewith a cob of sweet corn with its own pee pee

The Honda Ridgeline RTL I can buy for stupid money...

She's been in Michigan her entire life.

Look what road salt and chemicals applied to roadways during winter do to aluminum wheels, if you don't keep them washed.

Perforated leather seats still in nice shape for the age.  Original owner must have applied leather cleaners and conditioner to the seats.

If I tell you what the slang term for the steering wheel cover is, I'll get in trouble for being racist, even though the term is used by every race here!

Heated front seats.

Dual automatic climate control.

6-disc cd changer.

Flip up rear seats is a nice feature.

Rusty hitch needs to be torched off I'm sure, and the towing electric are quite vulnerable in that mounting position.

Has a fiberglass Leer topper that I can sell separate from the truck.

Owner, 75, forgot his electric trolling motor was still attached to his boat, he jackknifed too much, crunch.

Owner claims all brake components need replaced.
