No sir, I'm going to prepare my Ducati for sale as well.

By next spring, I'll likely be down to one bike.

For how long, is to be determined, wouldn't mind owning a 2-stroke dirt bike.

I try......thank you, she's a rescue from an engine compartment during a cold Michigan winter.......bear with me on pics of the Du...

My bat tree was toast, so I thought, well, why not check air filter condition before I place an order for a bat tree....here's what I found.....critters made this their home during the winter months.

Unfortunately, I've seen larger nests in twin or triple cylinder snowmobile air boxes.

While I have the fairing and panels removed, I think it best to check belt condition, valve specs, and clean the injectors as the mice residing in the air box apparently used my injectors as a urinal.  The throttle plates inside the injector are oxidized with some nasty crud.

No idea, there's a stray cat in the neighborhood, so small varmints will be hopefully on the decline soon.

Yeah man, I purchased a still new in package Ducati factory service manual off flee bay a few years ago for my ST4s, iirc, $13 shipped to my door  :imaposer: .

I'm willing to wager the original price was at least 10 times more.

Two mates of mine toured in the states for a few months somewhere in the late seventies. Both rode Ducati bikes. They said that had been pulled off often by cops purely because of their bikes. The cops did not know Ducati and just wanted to look at the bikes, talk some crap and let them go.

What is your experience in that regard?

Location is everything, where I reside Ducs are rare, 45 minutes away more common.  My old girl draws convos at gas stations, nothing like a red 07í Sport 1000s with race ecu and a pair of Termignoniís.  That bike drew crowds, one of the reasons I sold it.

Iíve not ever been stopped by a cop to look at any of the Ducs Iíve owned though I could see that happening back in the seventies.

I was stopped on my 1290 and issued a misdemeanor traffic violation last year in New Mexico.  The officer quite militaristic in stature and performance, though patient and kind when I asked about my options to continue my travels, didnít give give a shit about my bike, he just wanted my John Hancock, and be on his marry way.  We wished each other a nice day.

I shoved the citation in the black abyss that is my tank bag and couldnít wait to get away from the very beautiful , though too populated for me....... well, read it in my ride report because I cannot remember the name of the place for the life of me.

I was stopped by Dirty Harriet a few years ago, she was adamant I was getting a big fat ticket.  After a nice calm discussion including why sheíd be wasting her time issuing her citations as theyíd be viewed as a waste of the traffic courts time after I chewed her claims against me and my friend on his bike, apart.  I reminded her in a respectful conveyance I was not going to allow her to strong arm me, she began to see the light, stampeded back to her patrol car with a slight tip of her hat, until next time, Big Oil.  I can hardly wait Dirty Harriet!
