So, we went down to Fort McHenry to scope it out.

If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it.  The felon does not fear the police, judge, nor jury.  The felon must be taught to fear his victim.

Although I knew Frances Scott Key authored our National anthem I didnt know he wrote it here at Fort McHenry.

The search was on for more though not at tavern prices.

This proved difficult.  I always take it for granted I can buy beer most anywhere back in my home state, I forget its not always easy in other states.  We managed to track down a 15 pack of beer and a large bag of ice for the cooler.

Then I contacted the homeowners who offered us 2 beds in their home.  Everything was set for us, so we went to scope out our living conditions.  We ended up drinking a few beers with the homeowner laughed so damn hard, homeowners were originally from North Carolina so our dialects couldnt sound more different!!

After we were intoxicated and stoned again, we decided the only rational thing to do was attack more seafood at L.P. Steamers!

Between the meals and beers ordered, another good size bill with gratuity.  They accommodated us polar bears as they sat us on the second floor of the establishment.  OMGAWD, it was like drinking and eating in a sauna for us, the temp had to be at least 75-80F on the second floor.  We were dying from the excessive temperatures, until our waiter saw how much we were struggling and opened 2 windows nearby.

We had another great experience and I cannot wait to go back someday.

Interesting to read that The Star Spangled Banner originated in 1812.

I read that it was only adopted as the national anthem when the USA competed in the first modern Olympics in 1896.
Succumb not to the erosion of those born of unconsecrated union.

I learned something new today, thanks JayBiker!

I had remembered Francis Scott Key wrote the poem that became Star Spangled Banner.

I had not remembered he wrote it at Fort McHenry, MD and I didnt know its first use was in 1896!

One of the most amazing performances of our national anthem by one the most amazing and talented singers of all time, before that little low down shit-faced twinkle-toed cock sucker Bobby Brown beat the shit outta her and got her addicted to hardcore painkillers and other street drugs.
