Third floor, which the homeowners used as an attic.  I found what looked to be case files, written in German.

I can't read some of the text real well, but it looks like J. Mensgala authored some of the pages.  Some pages look signed by J. Mengala or Mengele.  Odd, it's a surname I've not ever seen in this neck of the woods.  I've not ever met someone with that name in Michigan.

I found this older A/V receiver I think I'll salvage.

Well, that's it for the main house, barn, addition, addition basement.  The only part yet to be photographed is the basement of the main house, which I've not gained the courage to enter yet.  It's a creepy sight into a dark unknown.

I hope you enjoyed the tour so far.

Perhaps Josef Mengele?

I love that Tiffany lamp.

And all those records! Did you go through them? Any gems found? A place like that would keep me occupied for days on end.

I trust that you opened the window and let the little bee out. Sad to see all those dead bees.

Thanks for the tour. :thumleft:

Josef Mengele?

If I photographed a Tiffany lamp, I didnít know!  Which one?  Is it valuable?

The lamp may be in dumpster bin still.

Iíve been granted the responsibility to sort and research
all vinyl and coins found thus far.

Very sad all the bees meeting their end in the attic.

Youíre welcome for the tour, I enjoy following your BSA resto.

Peace!

I awoke early this Sunday morning, 11 Aug 2019.  I was up by 5am.

I made some coffee and set out in my bakkie to cruise the gravel country roads with my camera.

I saw a friend of mine, Loni Joe, walking with her kids, the two yellow Labrador retrievers.

LJ always is smiling.

LJ's two lovely ladies.

A short distance away from Royal Oak, I see someone is building a new home, using, supposedly, the latest and greatest method of basement wall.

Styrofoam blocks instead of concrete.  First time I've seen it.  I will be interested in following up with homeowner in a few years to hear their opinion on using this method.

Thanks for noticing and bringing the lamp to my attention.

I will try to find it, clean it up, and give it to my mom or grandmother.

F@CK, the mention of the name Mengele and then of baby experiments has made me want to vomit.
What he did with twins as "medical experiments" is the purest distilation of evil ever.

Perhaps, just perhaps, go through those case files again...
