Manufacturers are notorious for not taking responsibility due to liability....letís think Toyota with fortunes that roll at the site of a gravel road, fords that spontaneously combust or bmws that donít show the correct gear.

This guy got to the end of his patience I reckon and some type stuff of ppl like things to work as intended otherwise it causes them stress. This guy is probably this type of persona.

I can tell you, lawyers donít go to these lengths unless they see an opportunity to win. Bet itís resolved with undisclosed amounts changing hands.

If this is an issue then BMW really should sort it. My cheapie Kwak is uber reliable

They are suing for punitive damages - that is exactly where their prospective earnings lie.

I think the class action is a bit over the top but maybe intended just to get their attention, also all the exaggeration about being lewensgevaarlik.

But if it is broken, they must fix it.

Aha!  So you concede that a BMW engine makes enough power to generate enough noise to require a baffle!

This is what happens when the BMW dealership runs out of muffins...

Netso!  I was there Saturday.  No muffins!  I am going to sue the barstewards!

I lost the contract. Some bozo mass-dips them in the sewerage works now. Apparently cheaper for the Motorrad.

I fully agree that it is sprouting verbal excrement to call a owner of this brand a "loser", and "needs to get a life" for complaining about a legitimate fault on his machine, over which the manufacturer

simply ignores him flatly.

I would also have remained silent, rather than call the unknown owner derogatory names to defend the brand.

OK, seriously now, this thread is probably as good to a good example of SA attitude towards service as you'd get.

There is a fault on a vehicle owner's bike, however small and minor it is deemed by some, and the legal owner complains about this to the point that he has to revert to the law to force the

manufacturer to pay him any attention.

Now, please go back and read many of the responses towards the owner, from belittling him to outright insults and even "threats" of a "PK". :eek7:

Remember this thread next time you want to complain about bad service in this country. :deal:
