, but once it has receded piece is tenuously restored.

You've been too long on the Island your english is going to the dogs!!! Come home!! ;) :lol8:

I have no words!!  :o What you say is true, I do need to come home. :laughing4:
Alternatively I could rewrite that sentence so that its correct.
Here goes.
Like a spring tide, that surges with is heaving mass of water upon the shoreline, it's incredible power only revealed to us in glimpses from the full moon and its subtle roar. 18's continuous bitching about his boredom washes away at my walls of restraint. Eventually after a time the tide turns and as it recedes my sanctity is tenuously restored piece by piece....

Hows that?

ahem ...  :sip:  :lol8:
Young enough to know I can, old enough to know I shouldn't, stupid enough to do it anyway.

Tis been a quiet and boring few weeks in lockdown. And it looks like there will be a few more ahead of us. (urgh)
And to add to our woes we started out financial immigration process about 6 months ago.
We got an email from standard bank this morning.
We have to resend all of our documentation to them.
Firstly they said that they didn’t have it, then after three days of backwards and forwards they found it.
Now they are saying that the commissioner of oaths that we used is not accepted in South Africa and we have to use a different one… we used a chemist here..
Lord give me strength…..

good to see that you're still on this mortal coil - you've been quite quiet.

Was wondering how it was going in Melbin - from what I'm reading, it sounds like your morons over there have been taking notes from our morons over here. One thing that becomes immediately apparent when contemplating this current global "issue" is that there are a f*ckload of morons on this planet, with a concentration in parliaments .....

Good luck with the fin emigration.....

:thumleft:  :laughing4: Exactly what you said.....
I'm under the pump at work at the moment after 3 key staff left and I have to carry the load, so have not had alot of time to put my thoughts in "paper"
I'm halfway through another letter which should be interesting..

Thanks for reading!!! :o

So its been a while.
Apologies to those that were actually interested in the drivel that I spew forth into the interweb's  ;)
I have been lurking on the Forum but have just not had the energy to actively participate.
After sitting in from of a computer all day the last thing I feel like doing is, doing it some more.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, we lost some key staff and I had to pick up the load.
A few things have happened, some exciting, some not.
1. Wonder Woman is now employed again!! (ChaChing!!!!)
2. Trenticles has his drivers license.
3. The boss showed his love for me and gave me a raise (double ChaChing!!!)
4. Covid lockdown was re-extended for what feels like for ever. Next update will only be on the 19th of October and only if we drop below 5 cases a day on the 14 day average. we are currently at 10.9 sooooooo that's hopeful.
5. Boredom kicked in about 3 weeks ago
6. Trenticles got his Citizenship. He now lives with us Immigrants.
7. I have run out of things to build in my shed.
  • speaker boxes
  • converted car radio to listen to newly built speaker boxes
  • a box for shoes that have to stay outside
  • a poster for the shed
  • pack, repack and repack the shelves in the shed
  • convert an old computer screen to a digital photo frame and sport tv (if they ever have sport again)
  • build a box for converted PC computer screen and hang it
  • add power outside for said digital photo frame
  • purchase new tires for Trenticles car and replace the disks for the breaks, bye-bye ChaChing  :'(
  • begin the process of trying to grow grass in a place that the sun doesn't shine
I will post a picture or two of the projects if anybody is keen to see my handy work.

oh!!!!
I nearly forgot...
I have completed my book.
Its getting printed as we speak.... hold thumbs that it comes out ok....

Ps - what a responsible adult you are.......a first aid kit alongside the workbench and all...! Spose clean wound dressings and bandages do a better job than grabbing the oily chain-cleaning rag in order to stem the occasional arterial flow.....

- aaaahhh mate, its kak. if the situation doesn't change soon there may be riots in the streets..  (Australian version = a simple gathering of people, in a safe area, with a permit exercising social distancing)  8)

How did it happen that he got it before you immigrants? :o

No Idea but this is what we think.
When we applied we had to do his as a separate application, the reason for this was that he was 17 when we applied and would be 18 when it would be approved.
We specifically applied while he was 17 so that he would not have to write the citizenship test.  Because, to be truthful, I would rather squeeze my balls in a vice till they pop before trying to get that kid to study for a test.

Annnyyyhooo, his went through super quick and even his welcoming ceremony was on line and we think that's the reason, no test necessary.

We know people that were told to come and write the test just before covid started, and they still have not been given a new date.  :o

You have my sympathy. Andrews seems like a real class act........?! Must admit - I had a "run' in with the Melbin cops some years back......jaywalking of all things! I though the oke was joking with his over the top reaction and laughed......BIG mistake!!! Jeez - thought they were going to deport me on the spot.

This lockdown thing really seems to be a polarising event - opinion really spit between those in favour, and those against. Your oke has taken it a little far though.......I see that even the Fed govt is almost begging him to open the state up again.

Anyway - good to hear that your ball and chain is employed again - must be a relief.

Looking forward to your book.
And, very happy to see you posting again. Good luck with the boredom of lockdown.
In a world full of people, only some want to fly... Isn't that crazy?
