Diagnostic test will reveal the error code.

Does the engine light come on when its in limp mode?

Tip:Do not start your bike until the "ON Screen" diagnostics has completed.Sometimes a person is in a rush and want to start the bike immediatly after turning the key.....Wait.

Pop around to my place, Coles.  Will hook up the GS911 and see what's up.

On the GS spot section there has been quite a bit of noise of GSW's going to limp mode randomly.  It would seem a software update and sometimes replacement of the RHS controls - fly by wire throttle - cures the issue.

For example:  https://advrider.com/f/threads/another-limp-mode-thread-how-many-will-it-take.1298035/

Had a similar issue, tried the reset but to no avail. Problem started without warning, dealer struggled for almost 2 months. Turned out to be incorrect software downloaded when serviced. :o
