Limpopo meander
« on: August 26, 2019, 06:55:33 am »
What started out as a 9 day trip to Limpopo with my friends during planning , ended up as a 3 day long weekend ride due to clashing schedules. We were going to make the most of the weekend and boy did we pack it full of riding.......

I still have a brand new Dunlop 908RR in my garage that I bought a while ago and although not technically a tubeless tyre I see some have done so

I think most people run them at too high pressure
I take the front down to 16 bar and it has awesome grip. When you get closer to 2 bar front and rear become very loose because of the hard compound

The 4 of us have had some very memorable trips together. Although @Ghato , @Carlito  and myself still ride together from time to time, it has been a very long time since all 4 of us have gone on the same trip. If memory serves, about 13 years ago on a trip up the West coast. Jean has not owned a bike for close on 6 years and @Ghato was kind enough to offer one of his bikes for the weekend.

Jean has very little experience riding bikes off road, so we planned a route that wouldn't make him uncomfortable. We hit the first bit of dirt between Hazyview and Graskop and deflated our tyres.

It was still a bit chilly and we waited for the sun to warm us up before we continued
