It suddenly dawned on me yesterday that we have plenty to do with little time.

Yesterday was a long day at the office, but with a workshop view like we had who cares?

Earlier in the week the rims was dropped for new tyres and mousses. After not hearing anything we went to the shop to go enquire about when they will be ready.

Bad news. Nothing has been done yet. With a lot of stories as to why not.

But we needed the wheels to transport the bikes to start working on the Navigation equipment.

So we loaded all the wheels and took them back to Honda where we fitted them.

We loaded 2 bikes on Claude’s Hilux and I rode the other one to the “workshop”.......

Lookiing forward to seeing the towers etc

Did you put a moose on the rear or just the front. Are you not concerned about the moose getting too hot?

Are you doing any kind of roadbook training in prep for this? I think there is, well from my side, a demand for roadbook training , I have spoken to Clive about this for next year. To host a few roadbook training weekends.

Fitting the navigation equipment is not simply a plug and play.

There is quite a bit of wiring and preparation to be done. More complicated than I initially thought. So it was really comforting to have a seasoned rally veteran attend to it.

We split the duties between us. Gerrit and Claude was responsible for navigation, wiring and fitment.

I was responsible to add some HP to the bikes by adding stickers. We all know that stickers makes a bike go faster right?

As much as we would like to be like the HRC team we are not. We work on a tight budget and make do with what we have.

Honda Tygerberg managed to get us some 450 Dakar bike type stickers which in my opinion looks pretty cool.

It took some thought and planning to fit them.

Was good to to see the bikes transform.

You will feel a noticeable difference with that sticker kit Charl, be warned!  Ever since I fitted that to the little 250 Rally it has transformed into a beast.   :lol8:

Following with interest.  Ek is bietjie ver, maar skree as ek kan help met iets.  :thumleft:

We managed to secure a hydration sponsor in the form of Monster. I basically own shares in them anyway but it is pretty cool to have that level of support.

We might just need all the energy we can get.
