WINNING!!

Subtle.

Nothing political about it so leave me alone  :deal:

Bud, if you wanna scream USA from the Empire State Building, you can do that. Nothing wrong with that. Kamanya is just a bit pissed about the podium being stained with red.

But isn't KTM also just a very faded red?  Sort of one shade away from pink?

I wonder where that gravel road goes? And that, has usually made all the difference. (Apologies to Mr Frost)

Where did the SA girls finish?

Kirsten finished 55th overall - 3d in the womanís category.

Taye finished 77th overall, despite her bike failure on the second last day.  She was leading Kirsten prior to that.

This out of 144 entrants.

Msg from Aimee Branch this morning

Good morning everyone! Today is  the first round of the South African Cross-Country nationals in Lesotho. Ross went for an MRI last week which confirmed his grade 3 shoulder separation and also discovered 3 broken ribs. He went for a test ride on Wednesday and we unfortunately made the decision to not race the first round due to his injuries. (Listening to all the Docs orders for the first time - really tough for him! 🤣🙈) he was at physio and the chiro almost every day this week and will continue his recovery process but his muscles are just too damaged at this point to risk it.  We will be back stronger than ever in no time and thank you all for the continued support and well wishes! We are looking forward to a great racing season!! 🔥🙌🏻💪🏻

I see there is talk of reducing the speed of bikes for 2021 and removing paper maps / notes all together.

Then its not racing and its outside of the basic concepts, but WTF? How about a runner in front with a red flag? :sip:

After Paulo died, I just lost all enthusiasm.

Now no road books. One country event in a place where basic human rights don't exist. Nail in the coffin.

African Eco seems to be the event to go to.

The trajectory seems clear. In another few years it will be e-bikes piloted by computers.

And remote follow 'rider' drones for coverage.  ::)  Everything is going online and virtual why not the Armchair Dakar?  :imaposer:

Said it many times before Dakar died when it  left Africa. No place for such a race in a pc world
