@Fuzzy Muzzy check in with the guy at Bike & Boat Factory racing in Killarney, see if he has a CBR150 motor for you, it slots right into the 125 and has a lot more power considering the small displacement variance. I'm looking at starting a business and reckon I'll be getting the little GSX150R for commuting.

I'm not sure I would buy a motor from Michael. I bought the 125 off the showroom floor and it has been really well looked after, only serviced at the agent etc, it still looks like new so ill keep it original, once you start changing motors then nobody wants to buy a bike. I must admit, my intention with the 125 was to keep it for 30 - 40 years because one day it will be collectable likethe 50cc bikes are today

Alas there is not a lot of space in the garage. I'm building up a home office and the 125  parted in the office for now as a display.. looks quite tit:laughing4:

Lekker man - now there's a word I havn't heard since I was a laaitie  :imaposer: :imaposer:

Hy het 'n cross-over veiligheidsgordel en so ontwerp dat as jy in gegordel is, jou liggaam en kop nie buite die verste perke behoort uit te gaan tydens 'n val nie. Daar is 'n paar toetsbotsing videos op Youtube as jy wil sien hoe effektief dit is.

I have a Vespa LX150

Got it about 4 years ago (when I sold my Dakar)
Absolutely love it.

I think its a 2007 version, when I got it it had done about 22,000km.

I also got it for next to nothing, don't think the guy who sold it realised its value. Paid R20k for it.
goes like a dream.

So nice and smooth compared to The Beast.

Enigste m/fiets wat jy wettig sonder n valhelm mag ry, daar word beweer omrede jy n 3 punt veiligheidsgordel dra, die ekstra gewig van n valhelm jou nek kan beseer in geval van n ongeluk

Scooters are great. I really enjoy my Honda PCX150, it's just a little too small for freeway use so a 250 / 300 / 400 probably ticks that box nicely. But if my budget covered a new version of one of those I'd also be looking at second hand NC700/750 especially the auto version.  The NC700/750 offers that tank trunk which is really useful too. I guess it boils down to usage if I needed something just for town - no freeways - a 125 or 150 scooter is perfect.

I moved earlier this year, so now 2.3 km from the office.  :thumleft:

Saving the mileage on my bakkie and the other bikes, also because it such a short commute the engines hardly reach working temp.

Scooter works fine for me. Even after a social evening at the depot

Fills up 3 x per month @ ĪR53 a pop.  :ricky: :ricky:

Even with my skinny ass on it, we reach 105 km/h

Bought it 2'nd hand with 62 km on the clock for R9k.  :thumleft:

One or two 2t beasties. 180cc 2 strokes. Good fun. Pink one is good for about 140ish, and the yellow slightly less (aircooled version of the same engine in the pink one).

I have this 110 Vuka (107cc) thatís been standing under a tree now for ten years. Today I pulled it out from there. I flushed it off properly with a hose pipe. Let it stand to dry. Took out the battery and charged it. Also topped it up with some acid. Put back, put some petrol in and kicked (back to kicking). Nothing. Checked the fuse. It was blown. New fuse in. Still nothing. Off with the panels. That was one thing I disliked about it Ė the panels to get to most of the engine. Took off the carb. It was very dirty. Cleaned the carb (float bowl and jets). Back on. Sprayed some quick start into the carb (thanks to @Rufus115  I have now quick start). It started. Some more kicking with the quick start until I got it starting without the quick start. Itís Chinese crap, but it ran. Good for a back-up to go to the local spares shop in emergencies.

@ Eberhard Ö"some more kicking with the quick start until I got it starting without the quick start"...QS has a way of convincing reluctant motors to live off fuel from carb as well as the QS itself. My 950 occassionaly decides firing up on fuel is for other bikes to do....dose her a couple times with QS, and she purrs all weekend long. Think its PBS..parked bike syndrone
