Then it was off to the event site where we watched the Trophy finalist do a final skills test. When it got too cold to bare, we went into the tent to watch the Cheetahs bury the Lions.

I don't think I've ever been as cold as I was on Saturday night. We had plenty of coffee, stayed for the announcement of Trophy winners, had supper and then called it a night

Both of us wanted to be home early on Sunday, so we ended up leaving a freezing Dullstroom just before 7am.

Julle bly in 'n mooi omgewing. :thumleft:

@Ghato wanted to head back on tar, so he rode via Belfast to get on the N4.

I decided to take dirt routes home, primarily because I hate riding on tar, but I would also not be able to keep up with Ghato on the N4.

I made my way home fairly slowly, worried that my leaking forks would get me in trouble on the way home.

It was a beautiful morning and the Lowveld was looking fresh and green after nearly 40mm of rain over the weekend.

Thanks for a nice RR once again!
At least this year my neighbour could ride his bike back and all his spares in order!
Last trophy he ended up with a broken ankle!
That HP2 is just nice! :drif:

Enjoyable read, thank you
What measures did Dullstroom have in place to safeguard all the bike for the weekend?

Access to the venue was fairly stricltly controlled. Dullstroom residents apparently patrolled streets in shifts, but I cannot confirm this. There was a heavy police presence all weekend. I saw patrol units throughout town.

Some guys who partied quite heavily left their bikes in the streets with helmets on handlebars , nothing was touched.

Dankie Noneking, awesome fotos.
