We heard a vehicle approaching....... Chris appeared around the corner in the Pajero. He said there is no way in hell he's driving any further. Will wait for us while we ride the rest of the route which is a out and back on the same track.

We continued along the track, slowly climbing higher into the mountains

At the turn around point. With the route being fairly technical throughout, it was great fun riding back to starting point in the opposite direction, climbs now descents and visa versa.

I stopped on a slight elevation and looked back to see if Ghato was behind me.

He wasn't. I took a toilet break. I took some photos. I replied to some WhatsApps. I tried to remember when last I saw his headlights behind me...... I couldn't remember. After what felt like an eternity,  I turned around and rode back in the direction I came from....

........ and then came accross this sorry looking sight.. :peepwall:

After he gave me a lecture on "Looking after your riding buddy", we pulled the bike out of the mud and got going again.

I got back to the point where I stopped earlier to wait for Ghato, I looked back and...... you guessed it....he was nowhere to be seen.

I heard him coming around the bend as I was about to turn around for a second time.
