We got back to the Pajero where Chris and Michael had been waiting for us for 2 hours - let that be a lesson - never take the car  when you should be riding your bike.

@Ghato,  who looked like an enduro pro at this stage, effortlessly coming down the rocks

The HP2 started behaving differently on the descent, front end making a lot of noise and not handling well any more. Upon closer inspection, both fork seals were pissing oil.

Took it easy the rest of the way

Previous day, this rock was like riding your bike down a slide in the rain and I ended up sideways more than once

We high tailed it to Highside Tavern in Tonteldoos where we had a small lunch before heading to Dullstroom again. 5km out of Tonteldoos, the BMW On Call was parked across the road, blocking traffic. I saw more than one vehicle with red lights flashing and I. We were diverted to where medic was busy with an injured rider and asked to assist. Rider was in a lot of pain and the whole scene made me feel a little oozy, obviously still a bit traumatised with my brother @Dwerg 's recent accident.

Rider was in a lot of pain with a broken femur and clavicle and possibly scapula and neck and it was therefore thought best to airlift him to Nelspruit for treatment.
Although he received ample amounts of pain meds on the scene, he was still howling with pain everytime they moved him or his legs even slightly.

The dark area on the road in front of the Fortuner response vehichle was where his bike landed. No sliding marks, just a massive chunk of earth removed from the surface by a big impact. My guess is he was highsided near Highside. I phoned Mediclinic Nelspruit next day, rider was fine, just femur and clavicle needed surgery.

Ek hoor hy is darm fine.

Op 'n ligte noot, my ma sÍ altyd jy moet nie die huis verlaat in jou lelike/stukkende onderklere nie.

Gelukkig het die man soortgelyke raad gevolg.  Geen "vol gate" ontie aangehad

Needless to say, we rode back to Dullstroom much slower than usual.........

It was cooling down again in Dullstroom and we took a quick shower before heading into town for a milkshake at Udderlicious - I know, I know...... not very manly and just stupid in this weather!

I'm was not impressed at this stage. I put on thermal undies, 2x long sleeved shirts, mx shirt, duck down jacket and my Rally suit inner and I was still extremely cold!
