Suzuki has been a company of great innovation over many years.

I think of the GS range, the GSX-R's, the cantilevered RM range, their 500 square 4's, etc.

Suzuki, how about a RMX650F?

The DR560 (and DRZ400)  are coming back here next year with - wait for it! - a new sticker kit! I'm almost wet with excitement. Looks like it's the end for the DL1000 though.

That is apparently what the  "new" DR is ... a tweaked & rebadged DL1000.
I've seen a couple of spy pix..

Suzuki bled market share here over the summer selling 50 percent less bikes than last summer. They only just outsold royal Enfield by a handful of units.

They need to release models ppl want. Capable dual sports sell.

As an example I have yet to see a katana at bike meets.

Suzuki is fast asleep while others build new DS bikes like the 450L, 250 Rally, Africa Twins, T7ís etc. they bumble ahead with new sticker kits on 20 year old bikes (some I like but people want new), same with their MX bikes - almost no change over the last 5 years while the competition updates every year. Gsxr range same story. Pretty sure this new DR Big is going to be a Vstrom with minor mods.

So...it's out and still a DL and not a DR after all.
Massive disappointment from Suzy fans.

More weight,  more electronic wizardry.
6 more horses & the max torque now happens at 6000rpm.

meh !
Nice colour though.

20 year old bikes?
This thing look more like 80s.

When would the Japs learn to give the people what they want.
Its part of market research.
Seems its absent in Japan and in abundance in Austria.

This must be the new decal kit on the DR that they were drivelling on about. At the moment it is going with the aluminium sump guard and bark busters and they have thrown in a 20litre acerbis tank in adition to the standard one. The DRZ is last years model. Price is creeping up, equivalent of around R85,000 for the DR and DRZ.  Has anyone shelled out real money for one of the regurgitated Nortons? Not sure if I would, if you look at the last one sitting on the tiles you can see that the visual oil indicator is not even working.

The Norton owners club website forum has numerous threads about the many issues that have befallen the unsuspecting new owner of a 961. Quality isn't good at all and at the steep selling price one would be really silly to purchase one.
